Americas Top Dog Model ® 2014 Contest theme was “Healthy Paws.” This competition focused on how people and their canine family members keep each other healthy. America's Top Dog Model (R) 2014 National contest winner was Rose.

In Rose's winning contest story, her human mom, Wendy Foskey shared her heartfelt story about heart disease and the path that lead her family to seek a healthier lifestyle.

During her research of heart disease, Wendy discovered that prevention is related to proper diet and exercise. She also discovered that human and canine illnesses and prevention are closely related. "We all started a low sodium heart healthy diet, and not so typical exercise---" explained Wendy, "Dance, Dance, Dance!”

This strange love for dancing came from my method of cleaning," says Wendy. "When I am focused on cleaning, I crank up the stereo and I get busy."

One day Wendy was rocking to music, she got a huge surprise! While she was dancing and dusting, Rose's brother Charlie rushed to get his favorite squeaky toy. He began squeaking to the beat. Then Rose began howling to the music, while Penny and Mocha started twirling.

Cleaning house has never been so much fun for the Foskeys! They help each other stay healthy by eating a low sodium heart healthy diet coupled with dancing for exercise!
