Think you won't be able to mingle and jingle this holiday season? Well, think again! While this year's holiday will undoubtedly look different from years past, our celebrations can still be meaningful and enjoyable.

In this holiday issue of America’s Top Dog Model Paw Prints, I presented 10 top creative ideas to help you have a safe, healthy and fun holiday. This post was so well received that I decided to expand it to 21 top creative ideas to enjoy the season and toast in the New Year 2021.

1. Magic Mic Night

Plan a fun family night with Happy Holiday karaoke. If you don’t own a karaoke machine, that doesn’t let you off the hook. You can google karaoke songs online and it will pull up various websites that have a karaoke video with the words and the bouncy ball to tell you when to keep singing. Oh, what fun it is!

2. Paint & Sip

Host a paint and sip party for the entire family. Now you can order complete Host-A-Party" kits that include everything you need to host your own "Paint & Sip" event right in the comfort of your own home. Check out paint & sip kits on Etsy.

3. Bingo Night

Bingo has always been one of my favorite games to play. Create a fun family night of Bingo with prizes and food. Bingo charts are now available on Pinterest. Print them and let the game begin.

4. Merry Magic Show

If there is a magician in your family, this is right up your alley. If not, have a family member step up and be the life of the party by learning a few simple magic tricks. Check out these beginner magic tricks on WikiHow.

5. Talent Show

Roll out the red carpet — it's show time! Gather the family around for a fun day of talent and entertainment. Ideas for acts can include singing, dancing, gymnastics, comedy, ventriloquism, and recitation. The possibilities for talent show acts are virtually endless!

6. Take a Nature Walk

The winter season doesn’t have to mean that you can't enjoy outdoor get-togethers. If you live near your family, this is a relatively safe way to spend time with them in person. Put on your hat, gloves, mask, and coat and head outside for some fresh air. Just make sure to stay six feet apart.

7. Make Homemade Dog Treats

Have family members make a variety of dog treats for your pet. Everyone can make it separately and let your dog be the judge and decide which treat he/she likes the most.

8. Holiday Lights Tour

Drive to the best-lit houses in town and have everyone vote on their favorites.

Got snow? Got hills? Then you’re all set. Bring out the sleds and bake your favorite cookies for peeps, and treats for the pup(s). Serve with warm drinks after sledding.

10. Decorate Your Home for the Holidays

Get the whole family involved and make a celebration of it! Once your house is beautifully decorated, take family photos.

11. Create a Memory Board

Purchase a trifold piece of foam core at a crafts store and cover it with wrapping paper. Invite family members to help select and arrange images. Souvenirs and other ephemera also help tell stories about remembered events.

These printable Christmas treasure hunt clues are the perfect way to celebrate the holidays. Simply print out the Christmas scavenger hunt clues, and hide them throughout your house. 13. Go Ice Skating

You can still go ice skating during the pandemic. However, you just have to make sure that you bring your own skates, wear a mask, and find a rink where socially distancing is required. If you really want to be safe, find a pond of your own to skate on.

14. Have a Pajama Party

After a hectic holiday season, its time for comfort and joy! Everyone in the family gets in their pajamas. Cuddle up on the sofa to watch holiday favorites on tv, or spread blankets and pillows, and enjoy hot chocolate and dessert by the fire. Don’t forget pup’s pajamas and treats.
