The following is a casting call notice that was posted for The October 2021 Paw Prints Magazine SEASON OF STYLE issue. It was an AMAZING turnout! Seven top dog models (one coverdog and six fashion models) followed all the casting rules. You will meet them in my next blog.

CASTING! CASTING! CASTING! This week we are casting for America's Top Dog Model “Paw Prints Magazine” October SEASON OF STYLE issue. We are seeking a cover model and UP to six fashion models. Photos must represent fabulous fall fashions or “Stylish” Halloween attire. Only one dog per photo, and photos must be clear, focused, and high-res! Email photos to America's Top Dog Model: americastopdog@aol.com. Include short bio, photo credits, designer credits, a social media link and share your plans for celebrating Halloween or Harvest. Casting call runs from September 13 to Friday September 17 @ 5 PM.

Selected models will also be featured in America’s Top Dog Model “Top Dog Blog.” Additionally, our Facebook Fan Club “Top Dog of the Week” will be selected from this casting call and featured on our Fan Club and Facebook Main page this weekend. All other selected models will be introduced when Paw Prints Magazine October SEASON OF STYLE issue is published on October 1.

Best of Luck!

For those that were not selected, here are 5 tips to help you nail your next dog model casting:

1. Follow instructions completely. Copy and paste the casting call details on word or in your email, so that you have all the information in front of you:

Only one dog per photo, and photos must be clear, focused, and high-res! Email photos to America's Top Dog Model: americastopdog@aol.com. Include short bio, photo credits, designer credits, a social media link and share your plans for celebrating Halloween or Harvest. Casting call runs from September 13 to Friday September 17 @ 5 PM.

2. Do your homework. Jump online and check out the company’s website and social media platforms. Make note of the types of models they’ve used in the past or anything worth mentioning in your casting submission.

3. Submit only photos that fit the project theme. For example, if the theme is fall fashion, you would not want to submit a summer fashion photo. If you are going for the cover, your photo should be simple, elegant, and close up.

4. Prepare a professional email with all the above casting details. Check for spelling and grammar. Copy and paste in an email with correct mention in the subject line. In this case it would be “Paw Prints Magazine Fall Casting,” or “Season of Style casting.”

5. Remember to attach photo(s) and delete the casting details if they were pasted in your email. Make sure the email address is correct before pressing send.
